Korean Fable

Once upon a time, there were two neighbors. One family was all about money, they were greedy and successful. The other family was very humble, all they needed in life was to be happy and content, even if it meant that they were not the richest family alive. One day, a genie appeared and told them that a plant will grow in the backyard, and two different fruits would be produced. The next day, one big, gold fruit was produced that had  a small latch so it would open easily, and a small, black one was produced that looked like it would never open. The greedy neighbor immediately snatched the big gold one and left the small black one for his neighbor. The kind-hearted neighbor was only grateful to have such a gift, and cherished his fruit. When the mean neighbor opened his fruit, all he saw inside were some pebbles and dust. The gold was also fake. However, when the kind-hearted neighbor finally opened his fruit after hours of concentration and committment, he found that he had a neverending amount of gold and fortune! The greedy neighbor was furious and his family and he moved away, never to be heard of again. The rich, kind-hearted neighbor bought the land and prospered, become very successful and wealthy, helping others on the way.
